Accounting Principals is actively recruiting for a remote Tax Associate for our client, an established CPA firm located in Phoenix. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with excellent benefits and strong company culture and stability.

In this role you will be responsible for meeting with and coordinating tax services for a set group of clients, including researching and applying applicable tax laws and regulations. To be qualified for this position, you should have at least 3 years of public tax accounting experience and extensive knowledge of federal, state and local income tax laws. Additionally a CPA license or CPA candidate and a Masters degree in Taxation is preferred.

  • Maintain a set of clients assigned by management
  • Communicate with clients and other parties consistenly to ensure services are rendered correctly and on time
  • Analyze and apply tax laws in order to effectively deliver tax services
  • Assist clients with reporting and ad hoc projects as requested
  • Ensure client files and records are up to date
  • Build relationships with both clients and internal teammates

    Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of public tax experience
  • Must have a strong knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Must be able to think critically and problem solve effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong personal ethic and ability to demonstrate confidentiality
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA License or CPA Candidate
  • Masters degree in Taxation

  • Full Time (M-F Business Hours)
