Accounting Principals is currently seeking a qualified Staff Accountant to join one of our clients in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of previous Staff Accountant experience. This is a Hybrid Contract position with the opportunity to go full time at the end of the contract. Responsibilities include working with both AP and AR team, preparing monthly cash receipts, journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, reviewing the work of other accountants on your team for financial veracity, and understanding full cycle monthly close process. Vaccination is required.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple clients accurately and timely
  • Resolve any discrepancies discovered during reconciliation process
  • Maintain thorough documentation for all activity throughout the year to meet external annual audit requirements and respond to auditor’s for information
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Accounts Receivable and Billing experience
  • Skills:

  • Detail oriented
  • Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • $30 - $40/hr dependent on previous experience
