Duties

  • Perform credit card and bank account reconciliations for multiple companies
  • Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
  • Accurately identify and record expenses in affiliated companies using intercompany accounts
  • Find and resolve discrepancies with payables, receivables, and general ledger account coding
  • Prepare various accrual entries and provide supporting documentation
  • Contact internal/external employees and vendors to address all problems
  • Provides traceable supporting documents during month-end procedure
  • Participate in review/audits
  • Links Operations and Finance/Accounting through production paperwork to bill various companies under the same common ownership while auditing production paperwork for accuracy
  • Assist with product planning and sources raw materials with major suppliers
  • Other various duties as assigned
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree (Accounting or Finance)
  • 3+ years of general accounting experience
  • Meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to research, retrieve and organize data to prepare reports and financial documentation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Communicate effectively (in both oral and written form)
  • MS Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency
  • Strong QuickBooks knowledge
  • 10-key function efficiency
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing program needs
  • Continuously looking for ways to identify areas that need improvement
  •  

     

  • Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
