Staff Accountant

Accounting Principals is partnering with a company in the Renton, WA area to search for a temporary accounting professional. This team needs help for at least the next two months with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting tasks. You will need to have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least a year of accounting experience to be considered. Since you will be trained by the senior staff members, you will be working onsite. There might be opportunity to work remotely for some of the contract. Ability to learn new software quickly and work with large data sets in Microsoft Excel would be helpful. You will be working between a few different systems and need to be comfortable handling lots of data. The team is friendly and supportive so you will have individuals to reach out to when you have questions. This position offers a fast interview process, and the opportunity to get some general accountant experience on your resume.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing daily transactions and reconciling bank statements
  • Posting journal entries
  • Reviewing accounts payable transactions
  • Processing payment requests
  • Additional tasks as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • At least a year of accounting experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
  • Able to learn quickly and to self-manage priorities
  • Professional communication skills
