Staff Accountant

A company in the Seattle, WA area is partnering with Accounting Principals to search for a permanent Staff Accountant for their team. The office is open, and everyone is back onsite fully, but you will have your own work space. There is free parking and a causal dress code. Your main tasks will be processing invoices, bank reconciliations, and month end close. You will utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions and work in an ERP system so being comfortable with technology is important. Also, the team is successful working independently and so this person needs to be comfortable staying on task without managerial oversight. If you have a bachelor’s degree and limited work experience, you could still be qualified if you are a quick learner and looking to build a long-term accounting career. There is opportunity to move up internally as you gain more responsibility.

Job Duties:

  • Processing client payments
  • Ensuring expense reporting approval and processing
  • Bank statement reconciliations
  • Vendor management when needed
  • Posting journal entries and assisting with month end close
  • Additional duties as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • One or more years of accounting experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Previous experience on an ERP system is preferred
  • Ability to self-manage and work efficiently independently
