Accounting Principals is partnering with a non-profit to identify a permanent Accountant for their team. You will be working onsite in downtown Portland, OR for the training period and then you will enjoy a blended schedule of remote and in-office. This person will manage balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and month end close responsibilities. The right candidate will have high attention to detail, be organized, and be able to work well with others. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred but if you have over five years of accounting experience without a degree, you could be a good fit as well. In addition to standard accountant tasks, you will get to take an active part in the budgeting process for your assigned business units. This is a great opportunity for candidates to get experience with analytical type responsibilities. The benefits offered with this position are competitive as well.


  • Processing journal entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining the general ledger and month end close
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Managing the budget and monthly reporting tasks
  • Additional projects as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent years of work experience
  • Non-profit industry experience would be helpful but not required
  • Three or more years of accounting experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others and collaborate when needed
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines
