Accounting Principals is working with a health care organization to fill an Staff Accountant role. The selected candidate will support a team of 10 and will be working closely with the payroll department. The selected candidate will be coordinating and reviewing all accounting functions, financial statements and processing payroll.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Enter monthly journal entries, execute monthly closing entries, execute month-end general ledger
  • Coordinate monthly closing and production of financial statements
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepare state sales and use tax reports
  • Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
  • Reconcile daily cash flow statements and reconcile to monthly bank statements
  • Process weekly payroll and monthly commissions
  • Reconcile payroll and cash disbursement accounts
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS) and Word
  •  

    Skills:

  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  •  

    Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience
