Accounting Principals has partnered with a client in Noblesville in search of a Staff Accountant to join their team that will report directly to the Controller. In this position you will be responsible for performing technical accounting tasks on behalf of the company. Interested candidates should have 3+ years of accounting / finance experience combined with a completed bachelor’s degree. Compensation for this direct hire role begins at $50,000.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares state sales & use tax returns.
  • Processes journal entries and reconciles balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepares for the annual audit.
  • Reviews aging report for past due accounts and follows up with customers.
  • Enters accounts receivable cash receipts, accounts payable payments, account adjustments, machine and miscellaneous invoices.
  • Reconciles payroll accounts.
  • Maintains fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Maintains certificates of liability.
  • Maintains sales tax certificates.
  • Calculates and maintains internal commission schedules.
  • Balances balance sheet accounts, report deviations and reconciling items.
  • Assists in the preparation of the balance sheet, profit and loss statement and internal financial reports.
  • Position Requirements:

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • 3+ years of accounting and finance experience, manufacturing setting, highly PREFERRED
  • Previous SAP experience, highly preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
