Staff Accountant

Accounting Principals in Torrance is helping one of our treasured and loyal clients in Long Beach search for a temporary Staff Accountant.  Are you looking for some challenging temporary employment because you are in between positions right now?  Would you like to work for a company that treats people great?  If yes, then we must talk! 

To be considered for this 6 month + temporary position, we are looking for someone that has some great GL experience and advanced Excel skills.  The position pays $30/hr.   

DUTIES:

The interim Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day general accounting functions including preparing account reconciliations and journal entries for various accounts.  Financial reports are downloaded from excel so will use pivot tables for analysis. Other duties:

SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting is a plus!

Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small to medium size company

Hands-on experience with the GL

Excellent and thorough knowledge of accounting

Able to multi-task and manage priorities

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Able to demonstrate high level computer skills and proficiency with Excel including vlookups and pivot tables

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent analytical capabilities

Ability to interact effectively within office team, personnel, management and with client(s)
