Accounting Principals is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Staff Accountant job for the corporate office located in San Ramon, CA.  This position is 100 percent in-office and will be working 30 to 35 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of general accounting experience. The role will be responsible for preparing journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, bank account reconciliations, process vendor payments, prepare and reconcile annual 1099 statements, coordinate and review employee expenses, reconcile and review AR, create and post monthly accruals, reconcile lease and prepaid schedules, assist with the annual close (month, quarter, year-end) and work  on projects and duties as assigned.


Qualifications for the job include:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required  

- Solid knowledge of accounting knowing your debits and credit and general accounting (GAAP)

- Comfortable handling complex account and bank reconciliations

- Software experience with Intacct and would be a plus

- Industry experience in Healthcare would be a plus

- Team player, able to work independently, and take initiative

- Reliable, can-do positive attitude, and gets the job done

- Detailed, a problem-solver, and organized

- Solid communications (written & verbal)

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)


Experience: 4 years of experience as a Staff Accountant

Compensation: $35.00 – $40.00 DOE

Employment Type: Temporary (6 months)
