Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant (Remote)

Do you have at least three years of accounting experience with a good understanding of US GAAP? Do you have experience working in the biotech or tech industry? We are looking for an accounting professional for a new remote job opportunity with a Bay Area based company. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, advanced excel skills, and at least three years of accounting experience. Job Responsibilities:

· Perform AP/AR and payroll related job functions

· Create and post journal entries to the general ledger

· Research and resolve missing or incorrect data

· Post accruals and other journal entries to the G/L

· Create reports using Excel

· Assist with month-end-close

· Reconcile G/L accounts

· Assist with projects and specific reports when requested

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of accounting experience at a Staff Accountant level

· A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

· Strong technical skills, including experience with Excel

· Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast paced environment

· Excellent communication skills

· Problem solving and critical thinking skills are required
