We are looking to a fill a Staff Accountant position with a progressive software company based in Rowlett. This company has a great culture and offers outstanding benefits. This position will be groomed into a Senior Accountant within a short period of time. This position pays 65K-72K.

 

The Staff Accountant will assist in the general operation of the accounting department. The Staff Accountant is responsible for bank reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable and assisting with the preparation of month-end financial statements and reporting for multiple entities.

 

 

Job Functions:

  • Reconciles bank statements for all entities
  • Performs journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepares depreciation and prepaid asset schedules
  • Coordinates and prepares pertinent information for external auditors
  • Prepares trending reports for specific entities
  • Reviews operating results for all entities
  • Assists in month-end closing and distribution of monthly financial statements
  • Assists with budget review and analysis
  • Develops and implements process improvements and document changes in the accounting policy and procedures manual
  • Performs other duties or projects as assigned
  •  

    Qualifications:

     

  • 2+ years of progressive responsibility as a Staff Accountant
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience working in high-growth companies is preferred
  • Ability to leverage technology to drive efficiency and scale
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Knowledge of Dynamics is preferred
