Accounting Principals is partnering with a growing company to identify an individual for a Contract to hire Staff Accountant role in San Diego, CA. To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of five years of general ledger accounting experience, and strong Microsoft Excel. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing organization and work on interesting projects.

 

The Staff Accountant is responsible for general accounting duties, processing AP and AR, assisting with monthly close and reconciliations and various other projects as assigned

 

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and participate in month-end closing
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
  • Process accounts payable
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Assist with audit and various other projects
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables and v-look ups experience)
