Staff Accountant

Accounting Principals is hiring an experienced 3-5 year Accounting professional within the medical/healthcare industry in Kent, WA! Job duties will consist of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, Journal Entries, and General Ledger maintenance. This individual will need to have excellent time management skills in handling all aspects of the business’ books and financial needs, while ensuring great communication with their team to stay on top of outstanding tasks.


Job Description

  • Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable including three-way matching, check runs, and Journal Entries as needed.
  • Handle all Accounts Receivable duties including cash applications, invoice creation, vendor maintenance, and reconciliation as needed.
  • Process Payroll, balance taxes and complete periodic accruals.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and General ledger reconciliations.
  • Research discrepancies and process month-end duties
  • Calculate accruals, complete intercompany transfers.
  • Close month end and prepare adjusting entries
  • Manage and calculate state taxes
  • Provide support for ad hoc duties
  • Balance and post journal entries
  • Additional duties as the business may require.

    Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Minimum 3 years of Accounting experience.
  • Intermediate Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, IF Statements, etc.).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage shifting duties and priorities.

  • $52,000 - $59,000 per year DOE
  • Hours

  • Flexible start time between 7:00am and 8:00am, 40 hours per week
