Accounting Principals has partnered with a Secaucus, New Jersey based corporation in their search to bring a Senior Financial Analyst on board for a project based assignment.  This is a hybrid role that is estimated to last approximately four months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close activities including preparing accounting entries (accruals, prepaids, reclassifications etc.) andmonthly reporting packages with value-added insight. 
  • Recommend appropriate cost control initiatives, and drive adherence to these and other announced initiatives including hiring controls, spending controls, and capital spend request process.
  • Interact closely with Senior Management team in preparing accurate and timely operating and capital budgets, analyze actual results vs. budget, identify risks / opportunities to be incorporated into monthly forecasts, monitor headcount statistics and drive best practices around cost containment to facilitate corporate overall growth plan.  
  • Ensure controls are in place to appropriately account for and safeguard assets and maintain compliance with Company policy and procedures and enforce compliance.
  • Qualifications:

  • Education Preferred: 4-Year College Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • 2 – 5 Years Related Finance Experience in a related industry, private accounting experience would be a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills, including vlookups, pivots and macros.
  • Experience with the PeopleSoft Financial Systems and Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning a plus
