Accounting Principals has partnered with a Secaucus, New Jersey based corporation in their search to bring a Senior Financial Analyst on board for a project based assignment. This is a hybrid role that is estimated to last approximately four months.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform month-end close activities including preparing accounting entries (accruals, prepaids, reclassifications etc.) andmonthly reporting packages with value-added insight.
Recommend appropriate cost control initiatives, and drive adherence to these and other announced initiatives including hiring controls, spending controls, and capital spend request process.
Interact closely with Senior Management team in preparing accurate and timely operating and capital budgets, analyze actual results vs. budget, identify risks / opportunities to be incorporated into monthly forecasts, monitor headcount statistics and drive best practices around cost containment to facilitate corporate overall growth plan.
Ensure controls are in place to appropriately account for and safeguard assets and maintain compliance with Company policy and procedures and enforce compliance.
Education Preferred: 4-Year College Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA a plus
2 – 5 Years Related Finance Experience in a related industry, private accounting experience would be a plus.
Strong Excel skills, including vlookups, pivots and macros.
Experience with the PeopleSoft Financial Systems and Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning a plus
