Accounting Principals is currently seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Clerk for a full-time position at a large company in the medical sector. This is a temp-to-hire role that will go permanent with good job performance, attendance, etc.


This role will involve full-cycle accounts payable work. Will process operations, utility, and expense related vendor invoices. Additionally, candidates will need strong communication skills to work with vendor representatives to handle any invoice issues


Responsibilities include:

  • Process invoices
  • Match purchase orders to invoices
  • Process credits
  • Use proper general ledger codes
  • Balance the accounts payable ledger to the general ledger
  • Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been paid
  • Follow due date requirements on all invoices
  • Assist with accounting for credit card transactions
  • Other projects as assigned


  • Peoplesoft  and Excel (formulas exp a MUST; pivot tables and VLOOKUPS preferred)
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong ten-key (At least 7,000 keystrokes per hour)
  • Able to communicate professionally both oral and written


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in high volume accounts payable department
  • Associate’s degree preferred; bachelor’s degree highly preferred

    Employment Type:

  • Full-time, temp-to-hire


  • $17-$23 per hour USD

    Work Hours:

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week, some overtime when needed (mainly around month/quarter/year-end close)
