Great Direct Hire Sr. Accountant position located in San Dimas. We are looking to add to our Accounting team. Manufacturing experience is preferred. In this position you will be responsible for timely and accurate recording of financial information.  The Senior Accountant is responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.  As well as, the general ledger including, but not limited to, monthly general ledger close procedures, submitting daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions/results to be used in the overall financial reporting.

 

Salary: $70-85K depending on experience

100% onsite, hours are flexible with a start time between 5:30 am and 7 am

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles, investigates, and resolves exception items to general ledger accounts, and rectifies all discrepancies,
  • Maintains fixed asset subsidiary system,
  • Performs reconciliation and validation of all intercompany accounts monthly
  • Performs review of Accounts Receivable balances and follows up on outstanding invoices
  • Completes weekly reconciliation of cash accounts,
  • Maintain data for the annual tax declarations (IT, property tax, 1099 reporting)
  • Maintain the customer/vendor database with required updates to maintain collections & payment remittance
  • Analyze freights costs and custom duties and create optimization plans with the logistic team
  • Monitor, review, and manage the purchase price variance analysis
  • Review on monthly basis the open purchase order status to ensure accurate accruals
  • Support the Accounts Payable team with processing of invoices as needed
  • Ensure adherence of the financial internal controls / policies
  • Assist in the yearly audit and tax preparation
  • Interface with the management team level as required for financial updates
  • Improve financial processes, reducing execution time and improving accuracy
  • Participate in improvement projects within the company (i.e., SAP implementation)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or dictated by business needs
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university
  • 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and preferably in the manufacturing environment
  • CPA certification, preferred
  • Enthusiasm and strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong Computer Skills (MS Office programs, Excel, Power BI in particular)
  • JDE / SAP knowledge
  • Attention to detail and accuracy and in conformance to policies & procedures
  • Strong team orientation
  • Capacity to work autonomously and results oriented
  • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
