Senior Staff Accountant

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant with 5 or more years' experience for a temporary role at their established branch in Sugar Land, TX. This is currently a great on-site role that offers the opportunity to quickly work within an results-oriented and devoted team.


This role requires strong accounting skills and lots of collaboration within a team environment.  The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance as a REQUIREMENT while Business and Economics degrees will be considered upon detail.   • STRONG understanding of Credits/Debits
  • Accurate understanding of P&L
  • GL Accounting
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Month-end close
  • Maintaining record of assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues
  • Utilization of Credits/Debits
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Compiling and manipulating data from multiple sources using Excel
  • Seeing through the appropriate people to complete actions items
  • Preparing weekly updates for management
  • Any special projects as needed by management



  • Microsoft Excel proficiency with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
  • JDE Software skills or similar ERP
  • Detail-oriented and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


  • 5 years or more in a staff accountant role or GL accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Business and Economics degrees will be considered upon detail)
  • 5 years of general ledger accounting experience in public accounting or industry accounting

  • Contract-To-Hire


  • $60,000 - 70,000/yr., dependent on experience

    Work Hours: M-F,  | 100% on-site in Sugar Land, TX
