Are you an experienced Property Accountant looking for new opportunities? Do you have a good understanding of GAAP Accounting and prior experience working in Real Estate? If yes, then Accounting Principals has a job for you! Our client is looking for a new Property Accountant to join their team immediately on a contract basis to become permanent.

As a Property Accountant, you will:

  • Perform full balance sheet reconciliations
  • Create journal entries
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Manage the cash side of portfolio
  • Maintain prepaid schedules to reconcile prepaid accounts, such as property insurance, taxes, utilities, etc
  • Resolve any issues with financials
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as needed or proposed

    An ideal Property Accountant will have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Prior experience in Real Estate accounting preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years accounting experience
  • Great Microsoft Office (Excel) skills

  • 65-95K based on experience
