Accounting Principals has partnered with a Global Financial Services firm to assist with their search for a Senior Payroll Specialist. This role is remote for now and may require the candidate to report into their Philadelphia office on monthly basis in the future. This is a direct hire / permanent position with a salary of up to $80K and great benefits!
Primary responsibility is to prepare biweekly payroll for US and Canada
Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws.
Responsible for applicable tax returns and IRS forms as required.
Responsible for payroll and finance audits with outside auditors as required.
Ensure state remittances are made without delay.
Provide cover for benefits when Benefits Manager is unavailable
Responsible for the preparation of all IRS and government forms as needed (i.e. Form 1095’s, EEO, etc.)
Provide administrative support (i.e. invoicing) to Benefits Manager
Assist employees with pay related questions and concerns.
Proactively communicate to employees regarding changes and frequently asked questions.
Create and run HRIS reports as requested
Audit HRIS system with payroll and benefits, ensuring all systems are in-sync
REQUIRED SKILL SET
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and 5 – 7 + years’ payroll experience preferred.
5 – 7 years +’ experience processing payroll for 300+ person, multi-state company
Experience with processing payroll for equity related deferred compensation preferred
Experience with ADP Workforce Now required
Experience working for a global company preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
Previous experience supervising, providing direction, and/or training to other employees is preferred
