Accounting Principals is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our client in Rockville, MD. Our client is a mission-driven, global leader in business management consulting. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting and executing financial activities for financial planning, analysis, and management reporting in support of the company’s financial activities. Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A, the ideal candidate will partner cross-functionally to support the creation of financial projections, financial models to facilitate capital planning and operating model decisions. Our client is looking for a candidate with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter with solid business acumen motivated to drive results.

This is a direct hire role with a hybrid schedule, requiring you to be in the office 2-3 days per week. The pay range for this role is $100k-$120k


  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process
  • Prepare Monthly reviews for management as well as quarterly Audit Committee and Board of Director presentations
  • Ability to interpret financial data, develop trends and assist in formulating action plans
  • Ability to develop complex financial models to support ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Identify opportunities to build efficiencies of current processes
  • Develop creative financial data reporting and analysis through data visualization tools
  • Participate in special projects, preparing financial data as necessary to help analyze the impact of various corporate projects and transactions
  • Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s Degree + Twelve years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Ten years of relevant experience, or PhD+ Eight years of relevant experience
  • Government contracting experience with a proficient understanding of CAS and FAR regulations
  • Experienced in IT finance
  • Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills with the ability to work across multiple layers of the company
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of tools
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Cognos TM1 desired
  • Knowledge of data visualization software and tools
