Accounting Principals is partnering with a well-established public manufacturing company to find a Senior Cost Accountant that will support their plant in Northeast Philadelphia, PA. This company offers a great environment and career progression opportunities. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands on cost accounting and financial accounting.   Client will consider remote candidates if they meet all requirements. 

 

Responsibilities:

·  Provide support for costing of manufactured products and sales of finished goods

·  Assist in the month end, quarter end and the year-end close process

·  Review and reconcile material inventory accounts

·  Prepare, code and record inventory adjustments

·  Provide audit support specific to cost accounting

·  Prepare government reports on imports and exports

·  Champions lean initiatives through relentless continuous improvement efforts to drive results at all levels of the organization eliminating waste and streamlining processes and procedures

·  Assist with Month-End closing tasks, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Cash Flow Preparation

·  Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion

·  Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment

 

Education and Experience:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years Cost Accounting and Financial Experience required
  • ·  Experience working with JD Edwards ERP Systems is required

    ·  Meet key competencies for the job

    ·  Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite
