We are looking to fill a Senior Construction Accountant job with a national construction company in Dallas. This position will be accountable for monitoring the progress of project and performing full cycle accounting. This role will have quick upward mobility and is very visible position to senior management. This position pays 80K-85K. This positions offer a flexible work schedule.



  • Analyze customer contracts and purchase orders and be cognizant of terms and conditions, schedule, and other crucial contractual or logistical elements
  • Create projects in accounting software and set up billing milestones
  • Work with project manager in creation of project schedule
  • Enter estimates in accounting software
  • Update projected cost in accounting software
  • Maintain project records
  • Assist in expediting materials, supplies, and equipment to project
  • Review and approve time sheets for work related to a project
  • Monitor and analyze project financials.
  • Investigate project variances and submit reports to project management
  • Report on project profitability to management (weekly project review)
  • Collect project billings from customers
  • Provide administrative support to project management
  • Maintain project files for audit


    Education and Experience

  • Accounting /Finance/Business degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction related accounting
  • Knowledge of project contracts and change order documents
  • Knowledge of construction billing, AIA documents
