Accounting Principals is assisting a client in South Charlotte with their need for a senior construction accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with a growing company. The right candidate would have a background in construction or real estate and at least 5 years of general ledger experience and ability to communicate with executives and upper management. The senior accountant responsibilities are as follows:
Managing the General Ledger
Heavy reconciliations
Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Closing processes
Financial statement review
Working with P&L, balance sheet, and income statement
AP and AR
Financial reporting
Ad hoc reports and special projects as requested by the CFO
The senior accountant requirements are as follows:
At minimum 5+ years in GL accounting
Ability to oversee processes as well as handle daily operational functions (light AP, AR)
MS Office (Excel especially) proficiency
Bachelors degree strongly preferred
Working knowledge of GAAP
Experience working in the construction or real estate industry
Job costing knowledge
High level of professionalism
Have a can-do attitude
Desire to improve efficiencies, as well as learn and grow with the company
Ability to communicate with all levels of the company and present to upper management
