Responsibilities

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile ap and ar
  • Produce accounting reports and present results
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Provide technical support
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
  • Provide input into department’s goal setting process
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

  • Qualifications:

  • 3+ years previous Accountant experience
  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency with Google Suite
  • Experience using NetSuite, Google Sheets and Avalara highly preferred
  • Must be able to work independently and across multiple time zones
  • ERP experience
  • Reasonable breadth of accounting responsibilities - some combination of expense reports, receivables, payables, revenue, sales taxes, commissions, lease accounting
  • Able to handle startup environment - less structured, wider breadth of responsibilities (multiple hats)
  • Understanding of financial controls and ability to apply
  • Strong work ethic - ability to work additional hours through end of the year and critical periods such as month end close, netsuite implementation, audit, etc. Also, we have evening meetings w our global counterparts - this means at least 1-2 evening mtgs per week
  • Preferred

  • Mfg/AI/Tech industry experience Subscription (SaaS) accounting and ASC 606 familiarity
  • Ability to conduct technical research
  • Public accounting experience
  • Master’s degree in Accounting required (CPA highly preferred)

  • Pay: 90K
