Senior Accountant

Accounting Principals is partnering with a company in Seattle, WA that is looking for some immediate help. You will be assisting with transactional accounting tasks for the accounting team but some of your responsibilities will be data heavy. You need to be comfortable working with large data sets and analyzing reports using Microsoft Excel and SQL. This is a contract position for the next six months but since they don’t plan on returning to the office until the end of the year, they are comfortable with this person sitting anywhere on the west coast. You need to have your bachelor’s degree and at least five years of progressive accounting experience. Along with having advanced Microsoft Excel skills, they do need someone who has previously worked on an ERP system like Oracle. The interview process will be virtual, and a quick decision will be made.

Job Duties:

  • Processing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
  • Inventory account reconciliations
  • Pulling reports from various software systems and researching variances
  • Reviewing and analyzing inventory reports
  • Additional projects as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • At least five years of progressive accounting experience
  • Previous experience on an ERP system
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel or experience with data analysis tools
  • Ability to learn quickly and stay on task remotely
