Senior Accountant

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in accounting, at least five year of experience, and have experience using NetSuite. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
Month and end-year process
Cash receipts
General ledger
Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
Reconciliations
Other responsibiliites as required
Additional Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Supervising and overseeing the work of direct reports
Coordinate and complete annual audits
Provide recommendations
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
Responsible for setting performance standards for accounting staff and performs meaningful evaluation of performance, production, and attitude to ensure compliance with company’s policies, standards and expectations. Provides coaching and training as needed.
Meet financial accounting objectives
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, and individual must possess an advanced level of accounting and auditing skills and must be proficient in current professional accounting and auditing standards. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Proven working experience as a Senior Accountant
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
BS degree in Accounting
Minimum of 5 years work experience in accounting function
Extensive and current working knowledge of GAAP
Experience supervising and overseeing the work of direct reports (hourly, non-exempt)
Proficient financial analysis skills, ability to produce and analyze revenue, labor, and operating statistics reports and provide strategic recommendations toward achievement of overall profitability and efficiency goals.
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to demonstrate effective communication with a diverse group and multiple levels of the organization
Strong and proactive work ethic, and ability to work effectively in team and individual settings
