NEW Senior Accountant opportunity in Oak Park. We are seeking an accounting professional with 4 or more years experience for a manufacturing organization in the area.

 

Job Description: 

This role will report directly to the Controller and will have a wide variety of responsibilities focused on financial close, general accounting and special projects and initiatives within the department. 

 

Responsibilities:

•Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly

•Reconcile bank accounts

•Prepare financial statements and support month-end close procedures

•Maintain various reports in Excel and within ERP system

•Post journal entries and maintain adjustments  

•Assist Controller with projects surrounding audits, budgeting, implementations and process improvements

 

Qualifications:

As the main Senior Accountant with a small to mid size manufacturing organization, it is important for this candidate to have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role. This person should have prior industry experience and open to taking on more responsibility down the line.

•Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

•NetSuite or Great Plains experience preferred 

•Strong Excel skills

•Well versed in complex reconciliations
