Senior Accountant

Accounting Principals is hiring for an Olympia based company that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team! This is a stable opportunity with an exciting company that is continually looking to improve their processes and find new ways to be efficient with Accounting.   • Prepare, post and review journal entries
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform month-end closing activities in compliance with corporate policy and GAAP.
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts and organize the chart of accounts as needed.
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Income Statements, Trial Balance, etc.
  • Oversight of full-cycle Accounts Payable including three-way matching, check runs and journal entries.
  • Oversight of Accounts Receivable duties including cash applications, invoice creation, vendor maintenance and reconciliations.
  • Prepare for and help facilitate internal and external audits
  • Assist with year-end audit
  • Calculate and account for fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
  • Minimum 4 years of related Accounting experience
  • Intermediary Excel including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, IF Statements
  • Experience working in multiple ERP systems is a bonus.
  • Self-managed personality who learns quickly and suggests improvements for efficiency.

    Location: Olympia/Lacey area of Thurston County.  

    Salary: $55,000 to $70,000 depending on experience.
