Senior Accountant

Accounting Principals is hiring for a local corporation in based in Seattle that is now actively looking for a Senior Accountant! Daily responsibilities comprise of reconciliations, general ledger maintenance and reviewing financial reports, as well as overseeing AP and AR processes. Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end closing duties in compliance with corporate policy and GAAP.
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts and organize the chart of accounts as needed.
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Income Statements, Trial Balance, etc.
  • Oversight of full-cycle Accounts Payable including three-way matching, check runs and journal entries.
  • Oversight of Accounts Receivable duties including cash applications, invoice creation, vendor maintenance and reconciliations.
  • Prepare for and help facilitate internal and external audits
  • Calculate and account for fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

    Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work in Seattle WA.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • At least 4 years of related Accounting experience in a fast-paced environment that requires high level of time management
  • Intermediary Excel including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, IF Statements
  • Experience working in multiple ERP systems is a bonus.
  • Ability to provide feedback on processes and suggest improvements for efficiency.
  • Eagerness to grow and eventually step into a more challenging role with the company.

    Location: Seattle, Washington

    Note: 8am-5pm M-F, 40 hours/week full time. Remote Flexibility. Long term contract to permanent position.
