SEC Analyst

Accounting Principals is hiring for an SEC Analyst in the Boca Raton, FL area. Our client is looking for an SEC analyst with a strong accounting background.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Assist the SEC Reporting Manager and internal staff in preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks.
  • Managing key internal relationships between external reporting and global functions and geographies.
  • Management’s Discussion and Analysis.
  • Prepare stand-alone subsidiary financial statements on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly debt covenant reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting.
  • Support SEC Manager with ad hoc analysis or special projects as assigned.
  • You are a good fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field of study required.
  • CPA certificate or demonstrated effort and intent to obtain CPA certificate.
  • 3+ years of financial accounting (such as SEC reporting or technical accounting) and/or public accounting experience (preferably Big 4).
  • Experience with GAAP related research and application of pronouncements.
  • Knowledge of and experience with SEC filing and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications; must be able to create and utilize complex spreadsheets.
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience preferred.
