Accounting Principals is looking to fill a Remote Loan Processor job opportunity for this well-established company located in Southern California looking to help homeowners providing affordable home financing for customers utilizing the best terms available.  The right candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a Loan Processor. The candidate will be the liaison between the loan officer, borrower, underwriter and funding. You will process and pre-underwrite conventional, FHA, VA, and Bond mortgage loans, prepare and review loan file for completeness and compliance with underwriting and investor guidelines, and ensure the loan closes on time. 


Responsibilities include:

- Monitor overall lending process and resolve and communicate accordingly to meet loan deadlines

- Analyze loan-to-value ratio, debt-to-income, credit report, application, income and assets, and examine documentation

- Order and review all third-party documentation

- Check ratios and verify accuracy of AUS findings and program applicability

- Update and verify accuracy of data put into the system

- Provide status to Loan Officers and/or borrowers

- Assist other Loan processos as needed


Qualifications for the job include:

- Strong knowledge of mortgage lending processes and controls, as well as Federal, State and Regulatory requirements

- Strong experience in processing Conventional and VHA Loans

- Experience processing VA and Bond Mortgage Loans required

- Attention to detail, problem-solver, analytical, and organized

- Excellent customer service skills and strong communications both written and verbal  

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)


Experience: 5 years of Loan Processing experience

Compensation: $27.00 – $36.00
