Accounting Principals is currently seeking a Bookkeeper  for a Real Estate Property Management  company in Newport Beach. Fulltime, Fun Enviroment, starting right away! Pay is $55k+

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Review, and investigate outsourced Property Owner Statements for errors, fees and credits for each individual property, resolving any discrepancies and reconcile. 
  • Able to reconcile with Property Management software and QB software
  • MUST be very detailed oriented and willing to go the extra to mile in maintaining internal Property Management books.
  • Process Accounts Payable, including verifying, auditing, and checking that appropriate approvals are documented on the invoice.
  • Prepare Accounts Payable checks for signature.
  • Process deposits from tenants whether it be electronic payments or checks/money orders.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust to fast paced environment.
  • Extremely organized with ability to hit periodic deadlines.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports
  • Assist in year-end reconciliation process, rents, expenses and PM Reserve Accounts
  • Assist the Asset Managers and Controller as needed.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

     

  • Accounting degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of property management accounting experience.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks required
  • Yardi or other Property Management software, strong preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability; understands details as well as big picture; presents meaningful analysis
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Must be self-directed, motivated, and logical in problem solving; well organized with attention to detail; follow through with assignments; self-starter and able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Able to communicate effectively with managers and coworkers.
