Accounting Principals is looking for a Property Accountant to fill a permanent role for their client in Walnut Creek Ca. The company is looking to hire based on the growth of the company and the increase in work. The person would be successful in this role if they have a good understanding of accounting and also has 2+ years experience with property accounting. This position can pay up to $70K based on experience.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions, and completes corresponding reconciliations.
  • Prepare, batch and code deposits and record into Sage100 daily.
  • Complete daily Cash Report.
  • Monitors daily bank activity.
  • Track, process and record online bank wire payments and maintain bank wire templates.
  • Research and records all check deposits and maintains record keeping and logging for deposits.
  • Assists in the month end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Other accounting and data entry functions to support the Accounting Department as assigned.
  • Special projects as needed.
  • Back-up to other Junior Accountant(s) functions when needed.
  • Responsibilities:

  • 1-2 years of general accounting experience, preferably in Mortgage Banking Industry.
  • Property accounting experience highly desired.
  • Sage100 experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of product; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint with Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced fluid environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality required.
