Accounting Principals is partnering with a construction company to identify an individual for a contract to hire Prevailing Wage and Accounting Specialist in Carlsbad, CA. To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of three years of experience of accounting or payroll experience within the construction industry and knowledge of prevailing wage and labor compliance.


The Prevailing Wage and Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing labor compliance duties and submitting payroll reports and updating prevailing wage rates for various project as well as assisting with various accounting duties.


Prevailing Wage and Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Prepare certified payroll reports and update prevailing wage rates
  • Upload weekly payrolls to various websites (DIR, LCPTraker, etc.)
  • Prepare fringe benefit statements, DAS 140’s, DAS 142’s
  • Ensure all compliance is met for Federal, State and Local requirements
  • Backup accounting duties (progress billing, WIP reports, processing vendor payables)


  • Minimum of three years of construction accounting experience
  • Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage
  • Experience with LCPTracker preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
