Payroll Tax Consultant Job in Portland, OR
 
Are you a big picture person with extensive payroll processing experience? Do you enjoy conquering complex projects? Then put your skills to the test as a Payroll Tax Consultant with this Logistics company in downtown Portland. You will use your critical thinking and analytical abilities to help support year end payroll procedures. As our ideal candidate, you will have three years of experience with complex payroll and tax reporting AND also be well-versed in ADP. You will be joining the team for a 3-5 month contract, earning $25-30/hour.
 
As a Payroll Consultant your job duties will include:


  • Clearing Periodic and Quarterly exceptions
  • Resolving open payroll tickets
  • Upload Daily tax transmittal files to ADP
  • Balancing Quarterly & Annual 2017 returns with SAP Tax Reporting      
  • Gather and report on payroll data to management team
  • Make recommendations for process improvement
  • Analyze payroll reports, recognize trends

 
You are a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Three years (or more) of experience with complex payroll accounting
  • Strong ADP software experience, expert level
  • Significant understanding of Payroll tax reporting
  • Ability to research agency websites, internal reports, and system queries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment
