  • Prepare and submit hourly payroll.
  • Verify accuracy of checks for weekly distribution
  • Prepare manual payroll checks to replace incorrect payroll checks
  • Report weekly man-hour statistics to management
  • Report monthly employee information for general ledger and other management requirements
  • Answer employee’s questions concerning deductions, garnishments, etc. as needed
  • Set up new employees in the time keeping system
  • Replace employee badges
  • Maintain and troubleshoot problems with time clocks
  • Prepare compensation history reports
  • Act in the capacity of backup for AP Specialist
  •  Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Payroll experience
  • Two-year Associates Degree
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and clients
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rates, ratio, and percentages, and interpret graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
