Payroll Specialist

Accounting Principals is partnering with a company in the downtown Seattle area to identify a direct hire payroll professional for their team. This position is for someone who has previous payroll processing experience and has high attention to detail. The Payroll Manager will be training you directly and is very supportive and approachable. You will be trained on all different payroll cycles but will only be responsible for the payroll of about 600 employees. You will be troubleshooting employee questions and coordinating with the benefits department so professional communication skills are required. This company will offer some working from home flexibility and your benefits will kick in after about two months of work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and auditing timecards
  • Processing multistate payroll for over a thousand employees
  • Responding to employee inquiries in a timely manner
  • Coordinating with the benefits team to process benefits
  • Additional projects as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • At least a year of payroll processing experience
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work with sensitive information confidentially
  • Organized and deadline driven
