The Payroll Specialist will oversee the employee payment cycle, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations
Responsible for processing payroll for hourly and salary employees, reviewing for accuracy, facilitating appropriate corrections, and validating payroll for finalization and payment
Reviews pay discrepancies and provides a resolve
Handles employee pay inquires in a timely manner
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
Supports audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
Works closely with Compensation, benefits, labor relations and field operations.
Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to show discretion with confidential information
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with payroll software preferably, ADP and SAP.
Three to five years of related experience required.
