Accounting Principals is looking for a strong Payroll Specialist to jump into a position without hesitation! This role is located in NYC. We need someone with ADP WorkforceNOW. In this capacity, the Payroll Coordinator works closely with the Human Resources department. THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE. 2 DAYS IN OFFICE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes, enters and verifies semi-monthly payroll, including exceptions for salaried staff, recording of time worked for hourly and part-time staff and calculation of overtime for non-exempt staff.
Enters tax data, deductions and direct deposit information
Verifies and enters all garnishment data, responds to unemployment and disability claims.
Verifies annual changes to benefit deductions, including medical, dental and flexible spending plans.
Coordinates the preparation and reconciliation of annual W-2s in conjunction with ADP.
Collaborates effectively with Human Resources colleagues to ensure timely and accurate administration of payroll changes.
Maintains records of employee vacation and sick leave usage and accrual.
Coordinate unclaimed funds process
Coordinate workers compensation and unemployment audits.
Other assignments as required, such as entering non-payroll journals and providing budget support
Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll processing.
Experience with ADP/Workforce Now is required.
Experience with ADP Reporting is highly desirable.
Must have knowledge of taxes, deductions, garnishments and related payroll calculations.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
