Payroll Specialist

Accounting Principals is seeking a Payroll Specialist with two or more years’ experience for one of our clients in Las Vegas, NV.  This is a contract-to-hire position, working with a highly visible organization that has a large presence in the local community.

This role entails processing payroll for the core staff and responding to employee inquiries.  Our ideal candidate has ADP Payroll experience, is proficient in Microsoft Excel and has excellent customer service skills.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply online today!

•    End to end payroll processing
•    Entry of time and deductions
•    Calculation of taxes and garnishments as needed
•    Respond to payroll and time-off inquiries from employees, primarily by telephone
•    Process manual checks and separation pay as needed

Skills and Qualifications:
•    Familiarity with payroll and tax regulations
•    Must have experience with ADP Payroll software
•    Highly proficient in using Microsoft Excel, to include cell formulas, VLOOKUP and pivot tables
•    Strong time management skills
•    Ability to multi-task and stay organized
•    Solid verbal and written communication skills

•    2+ years’ payroll experience
•    1-2 years of general ledger accounting experience a plus

Employment type:
•    Contract-to-hire

•    $20.00 USD per hour

Work Hours:  
•    8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with one hour paid lunch, Monday - Friday
