Accounting Principals is working with our Phoenix-based client in the Accounting and Tax industry to hire a Payroll Specialist for their growing office!
In this role, you will work with small-business clients to process their employee payroll, provide guidance regarding payroll and tax related requirements, and provide other customer service to those clients as needed. Previous payroll experience is preferred, but if you have other accounting knowledge and would love to learn more about Payroll this is also a great role for you!

Assist with onboarding new clients and employees to the payroll system
Ensure appropriate taxes and other deductions are documented for employees
Process payroll on a variety of pay schedules
Answer questions related to payroll as needed
Assist with report creation as related to payroll, taxes, and deductions
Provide other customer service to clients as requested
2+ years of payroll or other accounting experience
Ability to work on site in Phoenix, AZ
Desire to work for a small but growing Accounting Consulting firm
Strong communication, customer service skills, and ability to understand new software systems
