Accounting Principals has partnered with a construction company in Phoenix that is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to their growing team. This role is due to a recent company acquisition, adding about 1,000 employees to their headcount.

The role will require processing payroll for employees across multiple sites, including auditing timecards, processing garnishments and deductions, and ensuring the payroll cycle runs smoothly on a biweekly basis. Their ideal candidate is someone with at least three years of payroll experience, preferably in a high volume environment (1,000 or more employees). Also, ADP software experience is a huge plus!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Audit timecards submitted at the site level for accuracy
  • Communicate with those at the site level regarding missing or inaccurate timecard information
  • Ensure the biweekly payroll cycle is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Calculate and process garnishments
  • Reconcile benefit accounts each period
  • Process manual checks as needed
  • Ensure new hires, changes and terminations are processed on time
  • Maintaining updated reports and documentation on a consistent basis
  • Qualifications Required:

  • At least 3 years of multi-state payroll experience
  • Experience processing payroll for at least 1,000 employees is preferred
  • Experience using ADP is a huge plus!
  • Must be a strong problem solver and critical thinker
  • Sufficient technical skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Great customer service and communication skills

  • Pay - $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience
