Accounting Principals is looking for a Payroll Specialist with two or more years of experience to work full time with an industrial firm in Tempe, AZ. This is a good contract-to-hire opportunity for someone with some experience in payroll to get into an established and growing business with room for growth and opportunities for career advancement.
This role entails the processing of payroll information into Workday, handling payroll garnishments, and dealing with payroll taxes. This position will also require some light analysis and report writing for the Payroll Manager and Controller. Process Payroll information using Workday payroll suite
Research and apply garnishments and payroll taxes to employee payroll
Maintain employee information in the system
Answer payroll-related questions from employees
Write reports on payroll information for senior management
Proficiency in Workday, ADP, or Peoplesoft preferred
Familiar with Arizona’s legal and bureaucratic requirements for payroll
Speed and accuracy in meeting deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Clear and calm verbal and written communicator
Strong desire to expand knowledge in field
Minimum 2 years of related experience
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract to Hire
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
