We have partnered with a Dallas TX client to find a Payroll Specialist for a full time role paying in the $50k range. The ideal candidate will be bilingual and have construction industry experience.

The Job:

•Enter, maintain, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.•Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.•Collect approved timecards.•Review hours for downtime and travel.•Review overtime hours worked.•Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.•Issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.•Record and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits.•Prepare all payroll related reports as necessary, and prepare remittance checks as necessary for health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, pensions, unemployment, workers' compensation, garnishments, etc.•Prepare and review for accuracy W-2 forms for employees and 1099 forms for vendors and distributes by January 31 of each year.•Prepare and maintain filing of payroll related documents.•Review, maintain, and organize departmental payroll input sheets. Review payroll for accuracy and ensures that payroll is processed in a timely manner.•Prepare and process payroll deductions by forwarding appropriate reports and payments for deductions including, but not limited to, child support, insurance, garnishments, etc.•Establish and maintain best practices for payroll processes.•Perform other duties as assigned.
