Accounting Principals has partnered with a locally owned, well-established construction company in filling their need for a temporary, possible temp-to-hire Payroll Specialist in Rio Rancho, NM.  In this role you will be preparing and processing multistate payroll on a weekly  and biweekly basis.  Must have at least 4 years of in-house payroll processing experience.  Pay will be $19-21.50/hour, dependent upon experience.



  • Audit employee timesheets for hours worked and accuracy.
  • Compile and submit payroll deductions related to check requests and payments.
  • Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications.
  • Review weekly and bi-weekly payroll deductions.
  • Prepare reports
  • Balance payroll accounts to the General Ledger
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 4 years of recent, in-house payroll processing
  • Experience in the construction industry a plus
  • Sage/Timberline experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work amongst diverse groups.
  • Extremely organized and able to multi-task

    Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary, possible Temp-to-Hire

    Employment Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, occasional overtime as needed
