Position Overview:

Here with your partners at Accounting Principals, our client is looking for a moderately experienced Payroll Accounting Specialist to assist in achieving short and long term business goals! This candidate must be a perfect mix of personality, energy and applicable skills/ experience! 


Job Requirements:

  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, commission, bonus structure and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • PREFERRED: 2 or 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
  • PREFERRED: Payroll Certification
  • PREFERRED: Experience with manual and automated Payroll systems
  • PREFERRED: Internal and external payroll processing experience
  • REQUIRED: Previous work experience title of Payroll Specialist or similar
