Payroll Specialist Job in Portland, OR
Are you looking for a new payroll opportunity? Consider joining an established payroll team in SE Portland as a Payroll Specialist. You will become a key member of this established automotive company. This team has excellent longevity, and offers great benefits to keep their employees happy long term. As the ideal person for this Payroll position, you should have at least three years of Payroll administration experience and have a strong understanding of the full payroll-cycle.  If you’ve used ADP, even better.  This is a direct hire position paying 45-52k annually DOE.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will have a variety of responsibilities including:

  • Process multi-location payroll for 30+ states
  • Create Journal Entries and assist with Month end closing as it relates to payroll
  • Perform manual check calculations when needed
  • Enter employee changes including deductions and garnishments into ADP
  • Answer Employee questions around Payroll and paychecks

As a qualified candidate, you should have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of high volume Payroll experience
  • Understanding of manual payroll calculations
  • Proven record as a team player who is proactive and self-directed
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now Payroll software knowledge a big advantage
  • College degree preferred, but not required
