The Payroll Manager is to serve as the lead over the Payroll department.
Include the following.
Supervise payroll specialists
Approve all payroll disbursements
Administration of the 401(K) plan including reconciliation between payroll system and TPA
Mid-year and year-end census files for 401(K) plan
Remit all child support deductions, garnishments, and 401(K) deferrals on a weekly basis
Reconcile payroll registers to the general ledger
Quarterly tax reporting : 941’s, FUTA & SUTA
Schedule weekly tax deposit payments and ensure they are paid in a timely manner
Address and solve outstanding issues faced by Payroll staff
Assist payroll specialists as necessary - this can include entering new hires, calculating payroll, printing checks, stuffing checks for distribution, etc.
FUTA & SUTA processing for recording into the general ledger
Oversee insurance/benefit administration including reconciliation of monthly insurance bills and resolution of variances
Remit unclaimed wages to the state in accordance with specified state laws and guidance
Set up additional companies in payroll system for tax purposes including updating yearly SUTA rates
QA data entered into payroll system by payroll staff
Oversee annual W2 generation and submission to Social Security Administration
Additional special projects as needed including running various reports and providing data to operations team among others
Address IRS letters that are received by performing research

Education and/or Other Requirements:
5 – 7 years of experience in payroll and/or accounting related functions
Multi-entity payroll processing experience required
Dynamics GP software experience preferable, not required
Experience with payrolls taxes at the federal, state, and local level
Must be a team player and organized
