Accounting Principals is working with a Healthcare Provider near Downtown Fort Worth to find a Payroll Manager to join their team! The Manager, Payroll manages and coordinates the operations and reports for all payroll related activities for the organization. The Payroll Manager will oversee the payroll functions of processing timecards, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records and ensuring the timely and accurate work. The Payroll Manger is also responsible for supervising payroll staff.
As the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
Manages the payroll preparation and processing, tax reporting, and related reporting functions.
Manages the timely preparation of payroll, tax reporting, and financial analysis of proposed changes in compensation and benefits.
Establishes departmental procedures.
Interprets payroll policies for departmental staff and employees.
Obtains policy clarifications from appropriate sources as needed.
Provides oversight for and participates in the production of the biweekly and off-cycle payroll activities.
Ensures timely and accurate preparation and submission of governmental payroll reporting.
Manages preparation of federal tax deposits ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Oversees preparation, printing and distribution of accurate W-2s and related forms.
Provides leadership for customer service to hospital staff in the resolution of payroll issues and questions.
Reconciles payroll-related General Ledger accounts monthly.
Produces ad hoc and recurring payroll reporting.
Supervises payroll staff to include developing, training, evaluating performance, and recommending promotions, transfers and/or disciplinary action.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Manage 3 Payroll Processors and overall payroll workflow
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field from an accredited college or university.
5+ years of experience processing payroll.
3+ years of experience in a payroll management, supervisor, or leadership role.
Experience with in-house payroll software programs, preferably Lawson
Experience and in-depth knowledge of Kronos Timekeeping
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
